Core engineering and protocols for Agent Action Hash-Chaining.
When an autonomous AI agent executes high-stakes operations (such as making financial trades, deleting database records, or adjusting medical dosages), determining why the agent made a specific decision is critical for legal liability and debugging. Traditional plaintext log files can be modified, truncated, or forged by attackers or compromised agents.
A2ATShield enforces sequential cryptographic hash-chaining: every action receipt R_i incorporates a cryptographic hash of R_(i-1), the exact timestamp, the agent's identity signature, and the SHA-3 hash of the prompt and execution result. This creates an immutable, forward-secure ledger that mathematically proves the exact sequence of events.
